POSITIVE RESULTS
Capable and Confident Students
You expect results from your school.
And so do we.
And we see results in students’ skills in math, reading, composition, public speaking, self-management, and independent thinking.
Wisconsin's school report cards are neither the only nor the most critical measure of success, but they do measure students’ comparative academic skill sets. The results are useful in evaluating and demonstrating students’ ability to apply knowledge to largely concrete problems. They also track how well students are prepared for the next grade level, graduation, college, and careers.
In the 2023-2024 school year, Mount Olive scored in the 89th percentile K-8 schools in Wisconsin in English language art and math achievement scores.
These results compare both public and private schools. Mount Olive students are expected to be an academically stronger group than their peers.
WELSSA Accreditation
Mount Olive is a fully accredited school. The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation (WELSSA) has established the standards for accrediting Lutheran schools like ours. These standards and the WELSSA association have been formally recognized and approved by the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
NCPSA Accreditation
Mount Olive is accredited through the National Council for Private School Accreditation, which is dedicated to the accreditation process as a viable and responsible means of establishing a witness of school excellence. NCPSA has established accreditation procedures to facilitate the appropriate application, review, and recognition of qualified and credible accrediting associations serving private schools.
Wisconsin DPI School Report Card
The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) creates School Report Cards and District Report Cards for publicly funded schools and districts in the state. Starting with the 2015-16 school year, report cards for private schools participating in the choice program are required by law. Mount Olive also elects to submit necessary data for all students to DPI so that an "all school" report card can be generated, separate from the Choice Report Card.
The Report Cards are intended to help schools see a clear picture of how well they are preparing students to be ready for the next educational step – including the next grade level, graduation, college, and careers.
Mount Olive's All-School Report Cards, as well as those of all other Wisconsin public and private schools participating in Choice programs, are available through the DPI website along with resources that explain the report cards.
Notice of Educational Options
Pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 115.28 (54m), notice must be provided regarding the educational options available to all students who are at least three years old, but not yet 18 years old. A list of those options for Wisconsin students may be found on the DPI website.
